10th March 2018 – Feltham & Cheshunt (Home)

In our 1st truly Friendly matches of the year, Watford hosted a new opponent, Fulham at the Meriden today.  With 2 Watford team, Cheshunt also joined us so that we each played games against the visiting teams.  Bill and Will (not Flowerpot Men) were the referees for the Fulham and Cheshunt team matches respectively.  Teams as follows

Watford O 1-1 Fulham – Howard scorer with Paul missing a penalty after persuading Howard to not take it. Glenn is writing to David Davis to add Paul to his Brexit negotiations team if he could persuade Howard to not take a penalty.

Watford O 4-0 Cheshunt – Howard 2, Steve and the best goal from Graham.  Graham actually scored a virtually identical second goal which was unfortunately disallowed for running.  Graham has asked for VAR…

Watford Y 2-0 Cheshunt – fine close range finishes from Al and Rob in a tight game.  George unfortunately had a reoccurrence of the leg injury which meant he lasted only 8 mins of the first game.

Watford Y 1-1 Feltham – a very fine ’round the keeper’ finish from Tony rolling back the years. Feltham better team in 2nd half but we held steady.
