The London Stadium Tournament
London Stadium Tournament – 28-Apr-18 (report by Gary)
Watford were well represented at the festival by sending two teams!!
The Yellows and Whites
Unfortunately 3 teams failed to turn up!!. Which left 5 teams!!.
The Yellow team played 5 games……….
First up a clash between The Yellows and Whites!! A very tight game with both teams going close.
Second game West Ham A Score 1-1 – Howard scored with a fine right foot strike from 20 yards.
Third game Walton Score 1-0. Steve scored with a cool finish from 10 yards.
Fourth Game West Ham B. Score 2-1. Our scorers were Tony with a long range shot and Howard with a smart finish from close range.
Fifth Game West Ham A again Score 2-0. Two good finishes from close range by Paul.
So 3 wins and 2 draws!!.
We than had a presentation of the best keeper, defender and striker. We are happy to announce TONY BARTOLO received one of the trophies!! He won the best defender award!!. We believe he now has created a new defensive position of left back/winger/striker.
It was decided to have another clash of Yellows v Whites which the Whites won 3-1.
Also a penalty competition was organised with all the remaining players taking part.
Glenn and Will decided to fly the flag for Watford.
We both managed to make the final!!.
Either way another trophy was coming back with us to add to our bulging trophy cabinet at the Meriden.
Glenn won the penalty competition!!.
So all in all a good day was had by all.
