Hornets (Championship) (report by Gary)
Only 6 of the squad could make the temporary switch to Reading for the next round of league games in the TVL league for the Watford Hornets.
Our 1st match was against Milton Keynes Mad Walkers, and against the run of play we found ourselves a goal down, but a fine brace from Grant gave us a 2-1 victory in a game we dominated in.
We then went on to play Wycombe and again we completely dominated the match with Grant grabbing a hat trick.
We then went on to play South Reading who gave us a much harder and more physical game, and we came away with our 3rd consecutive victory winning 1-0 with Gary scoring the only goal.

Our 4th game paired us with Godalmin, and maybe we were a bit to complacent after 3 victories, and we then found ourselves 1- 0 down and then very quickly 2-0 down, we tried to get back in the match with a lot of possession and shots at goal , but the score remained 2-0.

Or final 5th game was against Highworth Town, and this was a fairly even game with both teams firing lots of shots which either missed the goal or found the keepers coping well, so it ended 0-0 .

Overall the Hornets played well in the first 3 games and were pegged back a bit in the last 2 games. But with no substitutes to use and on a hot day, we didn’t do to bad.

Amigos (Division 2) (report by Andy)
Just a short resume of our performance from the last round of the TVL league. As the armchair manager I am pleased to say that we remain unbeaten over the two rounds. It was really pleasing to hear another team come off the pitch stating that we were the best footballing team they have played! Generally we played our passing game consistently , and but for a couple of mistakes the results could have been even better. Once again we played with fun and fair play and passion resulting in the team once again enjoying their football. Overall we were top scorers with 8 – 4 of which were scored by SD.
Playing with only a bare 6 had its problems, it was a hot day and fatigue began to show, to a player, all remained focused and played some of the best football I have seen the TVL Amigo’s play.
Amigos Squad:
Alan Cutter
Julian Knight
Ken Littleboy

Managers player of the day was Stevie Dyett for his hard work up front, and goals.
